Julia Finn is your local State Member for Granville, proudly representing local people in NSW Parliament.

Julia is Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier and for the Arts, a role that supports the Premier in delivering key government priorities and helps shape and advance arts and cultural policy across NSW.

Living in the local area for over 30 years, Julia understands the challenges and opportunities facing our community. She has a proven record for standing up for the people of Granville. She is passionate about delivering better schools, quality healthcare, improved transport and strong local services that support families, workers, and small businesses.

Prior to her election, Julia served on the former Parramatta City Council as a representative for Arthur Phillip Ward from 1999 to 2016. During this time, she also served a term as Lord Mayor of Parramatta.

Since being elected in 2015, Julia has worked to secure real improvements for the Granville electorate — whether it’s fighting for upgrades to local schools, improving community facilities or supporting local organisations that make a difference every day.

With a background in economics and environmental management, Julia brings practical experience and a strong policy focus to her work in Parliament. She is deeply committed to ensuring that State Government decisions deliver fairness, protect vulnerable members of the community, and create real opportunities for residents.

Julia is an active member of the Granville community, regularly attending local events, visiting schools, meeting with residents, and listening to the concerns and ideas of the people she represents. She is a strong advocate for multicultural inclusion, women’s rights, environmental sustainability, supporting workers, and the values of fairness and social justice that underpin the labour movement.

Since her re-election in 2023 Julia has delivered upgrades to Guildford West sportsground, upgrades to air-conditioning at Granville Public School, upgrades to roads and parks across the electorate.

As your local MP, Julia is here to listen, to help, and to work with you to make the Granville electorate an even better place to live, work and raise a family. As a State Member Julia can help on state government responsibilities such as schools, hospitals, roads, law enforcement, public transport, fair trading, youth and community services and housing.
